JLG Prolift has designed the liftpod – a lightweight, low cost, battery powered personnel lift developed in Australia to replace ladders in the workplace.
The liftpod is designed to provide a practical alternative to ladders and features an electrically powered personnel lift platform, a low gross weight so that the products are portable (similar to ladders), 1100mm high rails to surround the platform and keep users secure, a lift capacity of up to 150kg (one person), and a platform height elevation of 2.4 metres (in current product).
The liftpod can be broken down into its four modules: the base, platform, mast/carriage assembly, and the power pack. This allows the liftpod to be transported by a single person, with each component weighing less than 25kg.
Workplace accidents from ladders are a frequent problem resulting in hundreds of injuries each year. JLG Prolift has developed the liftpod with the aim of providing a safe, powered and portable personnel lift at an affordable price for ladder users.
