Teekay Shipping (Australia) operates a fleet of 15 ships in Australia in accordance with the Teekay Marine Operations Management System (MOMS) – a totally integrated ship management system. This system allows Teekay to easily adapt operating procedures to meet changing operational, statutory and regulatory needs. OHS is fully integrated into Teekay’s management system. Teekay has adopted methods to ensure communication, consultation and continual review of MOMS. The introduction of MOMS has resulted in an improvement of OHS outcomes, demonstrated by a significant reduction in the lost time injuries frequency rate and an increase in near miss reports.
