OHS Management System
Construction Control’s Safety OHS Management System is a comprehensive OHS system, covering all facets of operations from design conception right through to handing a new building over to clients. The Safety OHS Management System was developed internally by Mark Southwell and has been implemented across the 120 strong company workforce.
The System utilises both hard copy and software to achieve an accessible and cross-checkable system that provides substantive OHS guidance. The System is applied across each site project and comprehensively includes contractors and their systems of work and their interactions across the project, commencing at the pre tender process, and advances through each stage.
The most significant aspect of the System is that it does not permit any work to commence until such time as an appropriate risk assessment has been completed prior to starting work on any work sites. The System also makes it mandatory for all persons entering a site to undertake a site specific induction. The System provides a framework for this monitoring by having a series of checklists, forms, databases and sign off sheets relevant to the tasks performed on site.
In all, the System provides a structured process through which every worker can express their view or opinion in relation to improving safety.
